02.06.2008 - 04.06.2008 | ICCMI 2008 - Impacts of Climate Change on the Maritime Industry | Malmö |
| Sweden |
From a user perspective, the conference will focus on the shipping and port sectors, including fisheries. These sectors are not only of significant socio-economic relevance, but are also associated with the intensive use of marine and coastal environments. Several keynote speakers will address the need for adaptive strategies to meet future challenges and opportunities.
As the first international event to address the specific consequences of climate change on wide-ranging operational aspects of maritime and coastal activities, ICCMI2008 will make a unique contribution, not only to defining the current state of knowledge and experience, but also by proposing measures to ensure the sustainability of maritime industries.
